Q: What is PredictAPlay

A: PredictAPlay is the next generation of fantasy sports. Far to long have we played a stale and static game. To come in and check your scores once a week and then race to pick some free agent up. PredictAPlay proves that you are a fan. It will give you a score to show it and display to all of your friends.
PredictAPlay is a game that you are actually the fantasy player. Based on your knowledge of the sport and the situations that present themselves during the game. Do you watch a football team and they always do a playaction pass on second down? Do they try to punch it in with their fullback all the time? Perhaps there is a guy on first with one out and you just KNOW they will do a hit and run.
By making these predictions it will effect your score which is kept in your profile so you can taunt all of your friends. PredictAPlay will also have leagues for each sport that will not necessarily coincide with the season, but more on this later.

Q: When will PredictAPlay be available?

A: PredictAPlay is starting off with Baseball it will be ready during the first part of the 2008 season. We will be performing beta tests during spring training and the first few games of the season and then opening it up to the public.

Q: Will I have to pay?

A: Absolutely not. You may have to stomach some ads every now and we may have some premium services later on (like hosting PredictAPlay for your little league or high school team!) but you will never have to pay for the basic service or leagues.

Q: Will Predict a play just be for baseball?

A: Initially yes, but not always. We started with baseball because well, we love baseball. But we are aware that there are people who do not or love other sports more. We feel the model of PredictAPlay is suitable to any sport, it is especially suitable for baseball.

Q: Can I play at a game?

A: Yes! This we believe will be the best part about PredictAPlay. We are first developing the interface in ajax compatible browsers but we are going to build front ends for Windows Mobile (because pocket IE has little to no support for ajax) , Symbian, Palm OS, and especially Android

Right off the bat though internet tablet devices such as the Nokia n810 will be supported. And we have also found out that Opera Mobile runs the game like a champ.  Good for you Opera, you are unappreciated!
